Viktor Hovland ended a 15-month drought Monday morning, beating Scottie Scheffler on the first playoff hole at TPC River Highlands after both finished regulation at 21 under. Hovland rolled in a sharp-breaking seven-footer for birdie on the par-4 18th; Scheffler, who had forced overtime with a clutch par putt in near-darkness Sunday night, missed from four feet to lose.
